Afghanistan · 1979
Issued by Da Afghanistan Bank in the Solar Hijri year 1358 (1979), this note shows a farmer ploughing with oxen and the bank's seal on the front, and a hydroelectric dam in a mountain gorge on the back. It belongs to the long-running afghani series that stayed in circulation through the Soviet and civil war periods until the 2002 currency reform.
